With more than 450 participants on average, participants stem from over 35 na-tions (Europe 70%, Asia 15%, America 10%, others 5%) with a domain breakdown of Academia 35%, Industry 50% and Policy, NGO, Press & Others 15%
The conference will take place from June 18 to 20, 2024, at the H4 Hotel in the centre of Berlin. Additional tutorials and project workshops will occur on the Pre-Conference Day, 17.06.2024.
Yes, online participation is possible for visitors of the conference. Presentations can be held online, though in a limited form. However, we prefer the presence of our speakers for a lively exchange on your presentation.

- Real-time streaming of all sessions and presentations including keynotes
- Posters available online for viewing, but not the presentations of the poster sessions
- Possibility to ask questions to the speakers via chat during presentations
- Possibility to chat with other participants via the conference platform
- Full papers or extended abstract plus presentation slides on the conference platform

The conference offers you a wide range of opportunities to network with scien-tists and industry players. During the lectures and poster presentations, in addi-tion to the generous breaks, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and collaborate with other participants. The supporting evening programme also of-fers further opportunities to connect.
Presentations can be showcased orally or using a poster. The official language for all presentations is English. Oral presentations are given a 20 minute speech timeslot followed by a 10 minute period to answer questions from the audience
